Good Friday – Day of Prayer & Fasting

Good Friday is a solemn day that remembers the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. It’s a time of reflection on the sacrifice Jesus made for humanity’s salvation.
Many churches hold somber services, recounting the events leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion, including the Last Supper, trial, and crucifixion. Good Friday serves as a reminder of the depth of God’s love and the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.
As the last Friday of the month, it’s also our Day of Prayer & Fasting. This day of prayer and fasting is focused on praying for the world around us. That means our communities, our churches, our leaders, and those way beyond our border.
